Truck Modification
Produce a "bolt-on" modification kit incorporating several advancements: common hydraulic cylinder, electrical hardware and frame modifications across all possible truck platforms, increased lift angle, retractable IEC compliant bumper, kit packaging to allow field installation.

Architectural Element
Development goals were to reproduce an exterior period wall sconce circa 1920's using modern components and processes without losing the character of the original.
Particular material, forming, welding and finish techniques were specified to achieve these goals while utilizing modern, efficient fabrication processes.
Clean, Simple Design
Development goals were minimal manufacturing cost, robust reliability, transportability and a bold, clean look. The development was executed quickly and efficiently over the span of just 2 weeks. Clear, up-front communication with the client was critical to launching the project. A molded plastic part coupled with an innovative mechanism results in a product that will withstand frequent robust use without ever wearing. An NDA prevents further disclosure.
Efficient Movement in a Small Package
This product required 3 degrees of articulation and to be stowable in a lightweight, compact package. The solution involved a deceptively simple linkage, telescoping support and quick release hinge mechanism. Other requirements were for the product to be modular so that it could be configured for applications in different markets, convey robustness and produceable for under 10 dollars each. The project required minimal startup costs and time-to-market while developing several concepts and bringing the chosen concept to prototype within weeks. An NDA prevents further disclosure.
Control Room Console
This project advanced the idea that the industrial control room be as well designed for operators to work as the plants they control are to produce materials and energy. Extensive use of structural foam and injection molded plastics were used to house components, manage cables, direct airflow for cooling and control production costs while providing a stunning yet practical working environment.
Coating Transfer System
This project required the design of a cost-effective, simple, robust device for applying successive coats of high temperature coatings to several production items simultaneously. Design goals for this project required the stable and uniform lifting of a wide variety of loads arranged on the perimeter of the device and characteristics of mating equipment required a unique circumferential lifting strategy be employed in a limited space. Technora 12 Strand, which is a highly flexible polymer rope that is stronger than steel by size and many times stronger than steel by weight was chosen for the rigging system.
